Description
this is a panorama made up of about six shots mashed together with autostitch.
they were taken in Peschiera on the ashores of Lake Garda in italy. i spent the summer there and had a wicked time. i was working on a campsite cleaning mobile homes during the day and getting fall over drunk during the night. i met some great people including my now girlfriend, and i got some greaty memories.
The town used to be the equivalent of a fort and held high strategic value during the napoleonic wars apparently.
i've had this one kickin about on my hard drive for a while now, and i've already posted it in one or two other places in all its coloured nothin-but-autostitched-and-bordered glory, i was just never very impressed with it.
then, whilst browsing flickr the other day i stumbled up this thread on fake-IR photography and thought i'd give it a go.
i like the results, whilst im fully aware that they only bear a passing resemblance to a real IR shot, i still enjoy the effect its created.
i also found a tutorial the other day to make your own IR filter on the cheap. cant wait to give it a try
